These terms govern your use of SchemSmith at schemsmith.com. The provider of the service, referred to here as "we" or "us", is the person named in the Impressum. By using the site you accept these terms. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply and are not affected by anything written here.
SchemSmith turns a text description or a reference image into a Minecraft structure: an AI model writes a build script, your browser renders the result with vanilla block textures, the model reviews screenshots of that render and revises the build, and you can export the finished structure as a .schem file for WorldEdit or a .litematic file for Litematica.
The viewer, the script editor, the gallery builds and import and export are free and need no account. Generating builds with the AI model requires an account and credits.
You must be 18 years or older to create an account, and each person may hold one account. You sign in with a link we send to your email address, so please keep your mailbox secure: anyone with access to it can sign in as you. We may close accounts that abuse the service, for example by circumventing limits or by creating multiple accounts.
Generating a build consumes credits. Each generation round deducts credits according to the metered usage of the AI model for that round, and higher quality levels use more credits per round than lower ones. The app shows your current balance at all times.
Credits never expire, have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another person and are not refundable once they have been used. We may change pack sizes and prices for future purchases; credits you have already bought keep the value they had when you bought them.
Credit packs are sold by a third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record. That provider is identified at checkout and on your receipt, your purchase contract is therefore with it, its terms of sale apply alongside these terms, and it issues the invoice for your order.
Credits are digital content that is delivered immediately after purchase. By completing the purchase you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the credits have been delivered (Section 356 (5) BGB).
Beyond that, we offer our own refund policy: a credit pack you have not used at all is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of purchase — just email the address in our Impressum. If you have already used part of a pack, we may refund the unused part pro rata at our discretion; credits that have been used are not refunded. Refunds are paid out through the payment provider to the original payment method.
You may not attempt to circumvent the limits of the service or its credit accounting, and you may not access the service by automated means beyond normal use of the website. Prompts and reference images must not contain unlawful, hateful or sexual content, and you must not upload images you have no right to use. Reverse engineering the service, or any part of it, is not permitted.
Builds are generated by an AI model. They may contain errors, may not match your description and may differ between runs even for the same prompt. Please check a build before you use it in a world you care about. We give no warranty that a generated build is fit for any particular purpose.
You own the builds you export and may use them freely, including commercially; we claim no rights in them. We do not publish your builds anywhere unless you explicitly submit them to us for that purpose (see section 7a).
You can publish a build to the community pages so that other users can download it. Publishing is voluntary and happens only when you use the publish function. By publishing you confirm that the build was generated with SchemSmith from your own prompt, or is a remix (see below) of a community build you have access to, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to show its screenshots, title and prompt under your display name and to distribute the schematic files generated from it to other users. You keep all your other rights. We review listings before they appear and may decline or later remove a listing without giving reasons, for example when it is offensive, copied or of poor quality. You can ask us to remove a listing at any time; users who already downloaded it keep their copies.
We set the price of a listing automatically from what generating the build cost, or list it for free. When another user buys your build, we credit a share of the price — currently half — to your account as credits. This share is paid in credits only, never in money; section 4 applies to it (no cash value, not transferable, not refundable). We may change the share and the pricing formula for future sales, and a listing may be removed together with your account.
You may open a community build you bought, or a free one, in the app, change it and publish the result as a remix. A remix must differ substantially from the build it started from; copies and near-copies are refused. The price of a remix is the price of the build it started from plus the price of your own changes, and every author in that chain receives the share described above for their part of the price whenever the remix sells. The listing shows which build it was remixed from. The same applies when someone remixes your build.
Buying a build gives you a licence to use it in your own worlds, including on servers you run and in videos or streams, but not to resell or redistribute the files themselves. A bought build is digital content that is delivered immediately; by buying you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the files are available to you (Section 356 (5) BGB). Credits spent on a build are not refunded. Community builds are made by other users with an AI model: section 7 applies to them as well, and we do not check that they match their description.
We aim for continuous availability but cannot guarantee it. We may change features, quality levels and limits, we may replace the underlying AI models, and we may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance or for technical reasons.
SchemSmith is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. Block textures are rendered in your browser for preview purposes only.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Produkthaftungsgesetz. In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation (Kardinalpflicht), that is an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely, and in that case only for the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded. Nothing in this section limits consumers' mandatory statutory rights.
You can delete your account at any time by emailing us; unused credits lapse on deletion at your request. We may terminate an account for breach of these terms with reasonable notice, or immediately in the case of a serious breach.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence continue to apply. We are not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
We may update these terms, for example when the service or its providers change. Material changes are announced on the site before they take effect, and continued use of the service after the effective date counts as acceptance of the new terms for future purchases.
